Land of the Lost Movie Review

There are a lot of movies about travelling in time and space. The principle of space-time continuum, parallel worlds and other similar things are present in many movies. But they are seldom shot in a genre of a comedy as Brad Silberling managed to do.

To tell the truth, the director of the worst in my opinion fairy tale “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” and a famous “Casper” this time was really successful. And it is one of the best or even the best movie for Will Ferrell. With the help of this couple we see on the background of the rest a crazy trip in space and time into an unknown world where there are gramophones in the caves of dinosaurs, where an iceman is trying to escape from a flock of hungry reptiles, where crabs are like Titanic, which stands on sand decorating the landscape. And angry slystacks are dreaming to conquer the Universe.

We can reproach the movie that it is not unique but all quotations are banter and humor. It is done not with the purpose to copy ideas. That’s why the originality of combination of incompatible things is to make you laugh nervously because of all rubbish in a good sense of the word. The plot can be called crazy and no other word is suitable there as everything is so unbelievable and surprising.

All adventures of heroes can be watched in one breath and they are not boring. The movie is wonderful and interesting. But the most important is that it is an incredibly funny comedy. The humor is different: from silly till jokes below the belt. However, there are a lot of “adult” jokes, swear words and the themes of jugs. Every humor scene causes a desire to appload.

The movie is a number of the scenes connected with a poor plot about the search of a lost device. It is more likely to be a kaleidoscope of humoristic scenes and dialogues. That’s why we can relax and accept the scenes with smile and laughter.

Of course it is not a masterpiece as year one movie download and it may be a movie to watch once and never again. Somebody won’t have a desire to listen to the humor and jokes but the movie cannot be spoilt by that. It is a humorous kaleidoscope which doesn’t pretend on any awards. It won’t become a masterpiece like “Ghost Busters” or “The Mask”. But you should definetely download the movie online, switch off the brains and laugh and laugh and laugh.
